Ana Buho is a photographer based in Madrid, Spain whose main focus is fashion and portrait photography. In this series, Ana explores dynamics between the twin brothers, performance artists, and models, Lois and Adan Peiteado. Shot in a greenhouse in Madrid - the merge is created between the greens from nature and the architectural rough elements, pipes, and fences surrounding the place.

Fashion emphasizes the similarity in the visual appearance like the identical shiny silver shorts and pajama suits worn by the brothers during the shoot. The contrast in the stance, stares, poses, even attitude reveals the human factor and individuality of each person through the careful approach created with low angles of the camera and relationship on set. We discuss Ana the series and some colorful moments from the shooting day.

‘I like to know what is comfortable for the other person and work with that. In this case, they know very well how to do it their way, they work in harmony.’

Where did the idea come from to photograph twins? 

Well, in fact, the idea was born because they are my friends, they look wonderful together, and I wanted to photograph them.

Tell about working on set with two models and how the dynamic and direction is different for you when compared to other projects featuring a single model? 

Normally, I let the person act as he or she usually does, I like to know what is comfortable for the other person and work with that. In this case, they know very well how to do it their way, they work in harmony.

Let's talk about styling and the concept of similarity and dissimilarity in the shoot. Styling is focusing on the concept of physical similarity that expands it to wearing the same clothes. This idea also comes in resonance to the different types of personality showing through a stare, body postures, and the general vibe. 

They usually dress almost the same. Many times the difference between one and another is just a detail. I find an interesting language in it. I think that the concept goes hand in hand with their personality.

Where did the shoot take place? Is it an abandoned factory or an active one? 

It’s a greenhouse and a park, both in a nice area of Madrid. 

What is the most colorful memory from this day that you can share with us? 

It's funny to remember when we were photographing outdoors, the twins were doing pirouettes for me to take pictures, both with only a piece of clothing, like the shiny shorts, and people looked surprised. People like to watch what others do, but we didn't care.
